Certified Kitchen Designer
Mark started life as a kitchen designer in Adelaide in 1988, so this year he celebrates 30 years in the industry.
To date Mark has worked for some of Australia’s largest kitchen and renovation firms across the wholesale and retail environments in sales and design as well as mentoring in leadership and management roles.
In 1992 Mark achieved a distinction in the Certified Kitchen Designer (CKD) course which represents excellence in kitchen and bathroom design and is only open to those with sufficient experience in the industry, and to those invested in continuing their professional development and staying relevant with the ever changing environment of the renovation world.
For over 5 years he was the State Manager with the Kitchen Group, and was heavily involved in three series of The Block. Fun fact: he scored a perfect 30 for a kitchen design
Mark joined LTKI in 2017 ready to return to his love of designing and working with his own clients rather than managing teams of people. He loves the opportunity to be creative and to improve the way a client uses their home.
His calm and reassuring demeanour is an asset particularly useful during a renovation process. His years of experience mean he has worked in hundreds of homes and created hundreds of design solutions transforming his clients’ everyday life.
Lastly, but by no means least is his love of travel and all that is experienced through the adventure. In addition to the actual destination, it is the people, the culture and the food that he is especially passionate and has provided him inspiration for his love of cooking and eating different cuisines from around the globe.
As always with great design it is a balance between form and function. Mark has the theoretical and experience in droves as well as the creativity and appreciation of culture, art and architecture which together make for a practical and successful approach to design.
Mark is a ‘Certified Designer Member’ of the Kitchen & Bathroom Designers Institute (KBDi)
